United States beats Germany to win BMO Nations' Cup title at Spruce Meadows

CALGARY - The United States topped defending champion Germany to win the $350,000 BMO Nations' Cup title at Spruce Meadows on Saturday.

The Americans finished with four faults in 494.52 seconds in front of 63,115 fans.

Canada's team - which included Eric Lamaze, Ian Millar, Jill Henselwood and Jonathan Asselin - finished with eight faults in 495.74 seconds, good for three-way tie for second with Germany and the Netherlands.

The BMO Nations' Cup is the world's richest team jumping event.
