Canadian dollar closed at 81.55 cents US, down 0.14 of a cent

TORONTO - The Canadian dollar closed at 81.55 cents US, down 0.14 of a cent on Monday. The U.S. dollar stood at 122.63 cents Canadian, up 0.22 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed C$1.7369, up 2.68 cents and US$1.4164, up 1.94 cents.

The euro was worth C$1.6172, up 0.60 of a cent.
