Canadian dollar closed at 82.21 cents US, down 0.61 of a cent

TORONTO - The Canadian dollar closed at 82.21 cents US, up 0.61 of a cent on Monday. The U.S. dollar stood at 121.64 cents Canadian, down 0.91 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed C$1.8149, down 0.01 of a cent and US$1.4920, up 1.10 cents.

The euro was worth C$1.5836, down 0.10 of a cent.
