VANCOUVER, B.C. - Levon Resources Ltd. (TSXV:LVN) and Coral Gold Resources Ltd. (TSXV:CLH) have granted a subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX) the option acquire up to a 75 per cent interest in the Norma Sass property in Nevada, consisting of 36 mining claims.
Barrick may earn a 60 per cent interest in Norma Sass by incurring total exploration expenditures of at least US$3 million in annual installments by Dec. 31, 2014.
By incurring an additional US$1.5 million by Dec. 31, 2015, the Toronto-based mining giant can increase its stake to 70 per cent and it can earn a further five per cent by carrying Coral Gold and Levon through to commercial production.
Coral Gold is a junior mining compan that has been focussed on exploration of mineral properties in Nevada. Levon, another junior, has land positions in British Columbia and Nevada.
Both companies' holdings include the Norma Sass property and Ruf claims, near the Pipeline gold deposit being mined and explored by Barrick, which is the world's largest gold producer.
