N.S. man pleads guilty to charges related to running Internet steroids operation

BRIDGEWATER, N.S. - A Nova Scotia man facing almost a dozen charges relating to operating an Internet steroid operation from his home has pleaded guilty to eight counts.

Kevin Wayne Tanner, 40, of Bridgewater, admitted to producing an anabolic steroid, to trafficking in anabolic steroids, possessing steroids for the purpose of trafficking and to selling Nolva, Cialis and Viagra contrary to the Food and Drug Act.

He also pleaded guilty to two charges related to an investigation into the proceeds of crime, following his arrest in the steroids case last January.

Tanner will be back in court today in Bridgewater when the case could conclude with sentencing.

The Crown expects to call three witnesses, a forensic accountant and two drug experts.
