NEW MINAS, N.S. - Nova Scotia police are seeking a 26-year-old man who is evading arrest in the Annapolis Valley and may be seeking to hide with friends.

RCMP issued a release Saturday that says William Robert Hutt was last seen wearing a red and black checkered jacket, blue pants and a white shirt.

They say he was in a wooded area near his home in the Harbourville area, about 25 kilometres west of Kentville.

He is approximately 5 feet, eight inches tall, 170 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

A news release says a person has been assaulted, and that the person is known to Hutt.
