Search called off for 63-year-old man who disappeared from P.E.I. wharf

O'LEARY, P.E.I. - A search has been called off for a 63-year-old man whose car was discovered near the end of a wharf in western Prince Edward Island.

Diving teams had been searching the area over the weekend, but strong tides and high winds hampered the search on Sunday afternoon.

The man's car was found parked at a remote wharf at Cascumpec, near O'Leary, P.E.I., on Friday morning.

Since then a ground, air and water search has failed to find any trace of him.

Police didn't release the man's name.
