
Driver killed when loop truck crashes at Lanigan potash mine

LANIGAN, Sask. - A 60-year-old man was killed Sunday morning after a truck he was operating crashed at an underground potash mine in central Saskatchewan.
The man was ejected from the loop truck when it crashed at the PCS Lanigan mine east of Saskatoon.
RCMP are describing the crash as a "single vehicle collision."
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.
Both the coroner's office and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety are investigating the fatal crash.
