With part of the province of Quebec in the background (Gaspésie at right, North at left), the International Space Station (ISS) is photographed on April 29, 2001 as it obits over the Manicouagan Reservoir crater (white circle). The Manicouagan crater in Quebec is one of the oldest impact cratewrs known. It was formed about 200 million years ago. Canadian and American astronauts say the world should already be preparing for the next big impact by an asteroid.
