LUNENBURG, N.S. - A $1-million provincial loan announced Friday should help Composites Atlantic of Lunenburg bring back some of its laid-off workers.

More than a dozen workers were let go in March because of production delays at U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Janet Sullivan, an Economic Development spokeswoman, says the money will help the company with its Boeing contract.

Composites Atlantic makes aircraft components and other products at its Lunenburg plant.

It has a contract with Boeing to make composite diagonal braces for the company's 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Composites Atlantic has almost 430 employees.

The loan will help the company buy new equipment and retool operations.
