N.S. Liberals say Tory premier should let federal party fight own battles

Published Thursday August 28th, 2008

HALIFAX - Nova Scotia Liberal leader Stephen McNeil says the premier should let his federal Tory colleagues fight their own battles.

McNeil says Rodney MacDonald will gain nothing by trashing federal Liberal policies while saying very little about his own government's vision.

McNeil says MacDonald needs to focus on what's going on around him especially in light of rising energy prices and their potential impact on many families this winter.

He says the premier needs to remind himself that his loyalty is to the people of Nova Scotia and not the prime minister.
