  • EGERTON, FLORENCE M. Florence M. Egerton of Chapel Street, Woodstock, passed away on Thursday, 25th April 2002. Resting at The Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB with visiting at funeral home on Sunday, 28th April 2002 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services for Florence Egerton will be held on Monday April 29th, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. from The Culberson Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bruce Redding (St. Paul's Presbyterian) officiating. Interment will be held at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery, Woodstock, NB.

  • WAUGH, THOMAS W. Thomas W. Waugh of Fredericton, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, April 25, 2002. There will be no visitation. A memorial service followed by a reception, will be held Saturday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton.

  • KNOCK, DORIS EVELYN (PUGH) The death of Doris Evelyn (Pugh) Knock occurred on Friday, April 19, 2002 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital in Ottawa where she has lived all her adult life. Born in Fredericton, N.B. in 1923 she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. and Violet (Logan) Pugh. Doris spent her childhood and was educated in Fredericton. She entered Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and received her R.N. and was one of the early nurses to become an airline stewardess. Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm L. Knock. She is survived by a daughter Marilyn and a son Raymond, two brothers, R. Carson Pugh (Eve) of Fredericton, Ralph (Eleanor) of Florida, and a sister Robin Watling (Robert) of Fredericton, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held later in May at St. John's Anglican Church on Main St. with Rev. William MacMullen officiating. Interment will be at that time.

  • LOVELY, IRENE MARIE The death of Irene Marie Lovely, formerly of Brookside Drive, Fredericton, wife of the late Floyd Francis Lovely occurred on Friday, April 26, 2002 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. The funeral arrangements, which are incomplete at this time, are under the care and direction of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB (458-9538).

  • CRANDLEMIRE, G. WILFRED G..Wilfred Crandlemire of Fredericton NB passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, April 25, 2002. Born in Amherst, NS in 1917, he was the son of the late Estella-Mae McCrea and G. Wilfred Crandlemire. He graduated from Aroostock High School, Provincial Teachers College and the University of New Brunswick with B.A. and B.Ed. degrees. Wilfred taught school in New Brunswick for 18 years including 10 years as principal in Marysville. From 1954-1962 he was Director of Rehabilitation for the Department of Health, and Executive Director for the NB Industrial Safety Council from 19621966. In 1967 he became Director of Rehabilitation, Atlantic region for the federal Department of Manpower, becoming the Atlantic Superintendant for the Canada Pension Plan a year later. Retired in 1975, he remained active as a volunteer in many areas, including CRCD, Pine Grove, Epsilon Golden Games, and the Third Age Centre. He was a deacon at Birch Cove, NS, Marysville, and Brunswick Street Churches and a charter member of the Marysville Lions and Fredericton Kiwanis Club. Sadly missed by wife Verna (Weaver); daughter, Sandra (Robert) Tingley; son, G. (Gary) Wilfred (Susan), much loved grandchildren, Tara (Scott) Kennedy, Rob (Erin) Tingley, Susan (fiance Ian Howey), Ali Crandlemire, Curtis Crandlemire, and great grandson Ryan Gallagher Tingley; sister Estella-Mae Bodechon of Hartland, brother Carol (Ruth) of Morrisburg, Ontario; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Fern (Holly) Young, Ruth (Clare) Titcombe; brothers Lester (Nellie) and Carl. No visitation at the funeral home by request. All are invited to a service of thanksgiving to celebrate the life of "Wilt" at Brunswick Street United Baptist Church on Monday April 29 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Interment will be held in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Gideons or Brunswick Street United Baptist Church. Bishops Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements
