  • Harrison "Jim" Beck ST. CATHARINES, ON - Peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 16, 2002, 81 years of age. Loving husband of the late Gertie (2002). Beloved father of Charlene Coghill and her husband David, Stan & his wife Irene, and Karen Haskett. Proud grandpy of Jordan and Taylor Beck. Mr. Beck was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Merritton Branch #138, and a member of the Niagara Aphasic Centre. Mr. Beck is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street., St. Catharines, until Saturday where a funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 10am. Interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 6:30- 9pm.   • G. Burton Siddall (Tim) 1918-2002 SACKVILLE, NB - The death of G. Burton Siddall (Tim), age 84, of Sackville, NB, occurred on October 16, 2002, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born on June 18, 1918 in Aulac, NB, he was the son of the late Murray Gordon and Alberta (Bertie Chappell) Siddall. Tim graduated from Sackville High School and later from Fredericton Teachers College. He taught in several New Brunswick School Districts and was a member of St. Pauls Anglican Church in Sackville, NB. He is survived by one sister, Marion Siddall of Dieppe, NB; five nieces Alberta (Bill Forgave) of Miramichi, NB, Connie (Ivan Ward) of Frosty Hollow, NB, Jean (Allison Amos) of Aulac, NB, Audrey (Winston Hobbs) of Halifax, NS and Nancy (Bruce Fraser) of Aulac, NB; two nephews, Wayne (Joanna) of Point de Bute, NB and Donald Eric of Moncton, NB. He was predeceased by his wife Greta; three brothers Gordon, Carman and Donald; one nephew Donald. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and by Tim's request there will be no visitation or memorial service. Donations in Tim's memory may be made to the Brunswick West Nurses at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.

  • Bessie A. Mitton 1909-2002 The death of Bessie A. Mitton 93, wife of the late George T. Mitton QC occurred at Royal Court, Riverview on Thursday October 17th, 2002. Born in Rexton on April 8th, 1909 she was the daughter of the late Capt. George Irving and Augusta Atkinson. Bessie was a member of St. John's United Church, the Bonar Law Chapter of the IODE and the Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by sons, G.Irving Mitton (JoAnn) of Upper Dorchester, H. Myron Mitton (Gayle) of Ottawa; daughters, Marilyn Patten of Trois Ruisseaux, Elizabeth Taylor (George) of Colpitts Settlement, Ellen Clare (Richard) of Caledon East Ont., as well as 16 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. She was predeceased by a grandson and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. At Bessie's request there will be no visitation or funeral. A private committal service will be held.   • Vaughan Elroy Wilson The death of Vaughan Elroy Wilson, 68 years, husband of Betty (Brown) Wilson of Stoney Creek, NB occurred at the Dr. Georges - L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday October 17, 2002. Born in Moncton September 19, 1934 he was the son of the late Basil and Leona (Price) Wilson. Vaughan was employed with the Royal Bank for many years prior to his retirement several years ago. He enjoyed playing Blue Grass music and was involved with several Blue Grass groups in the Moncton area. He was also a former member of the Moncton Lions Club. In addition to his wife Betty he is survived by his daughter Mandy Joudrey of Dartmouth; his son Jim (Patsy) of Kentville, NS; five sisters Valerie (Ivan) Killam of Moncton, Donna (Jerry) Coates of Riverview, Marjorie (Camille) Goguen of Moncton, Linda (Laurence) Coates of Riverview and Joanne Ayles of Stoney Creek; four brothers Robert (Ilse) of Hollands Landing, Ont., Jackie of Little River, NB, Harold (Faye) of Moncton, and Basil of Moncton; four grandchildren Ashley Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Samantha Joudrey and Kels Joudrey; his motherin-law Mary Brown of Stoney Creek; his brother-in-law Carl Walsh of Concord Mass as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Betty Murray and a sister in law Marie Walsh. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton with visiting hours on Sunday October 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held Monday October 21 at 2 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Reception will follow in the family reception room of the funeral home.   • Grace Wright SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Grace Wright, age 97, of Sackville, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, October 17, 2002. Born in Buckingham, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Louisa (MacArthur) Mousseau. She was a member of the Sackville Art Association, UCW and the Once In A While Club. Grace is survived by one son, Jamie (Barbara) of Sackville; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James.   • Clarisse LeBlanc BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Clarisse LeBlanc, 61, wife of Maxime LeBlanc, of rue Michaud, Bouctouche, NB passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, after a brief illness. Born on September 6, 1941, in Bouctouche, NB she was the daughter of the late Alyre LeBlanc and Edmée Bastarache. She worked at SEADELI (1996) Ltd. in Grande-Digue and was a member of the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Paul of Moncton; two sisters, Béatrice Martin (Léonide) of Saint-Louis de Kent, Marie-Paul Cormier of Bouctouche; five brothers, Raymond (Noella), Arthur, Gerald (Ida), Gerard (Jenny), Jean-Paul all of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one son, Jimmy and one brother, Emile.   • Dolpha Brun 1921-2002 Dolpha Brun, 80, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Memramcook Lake, he was the son of the late Eric and Emerise (née: Landry) Brun. Mr. LeBlanc retired from Canadian National as a brakeman. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the Army, a member of the Legion and the Club d'Age d'Or de St. Anselme and a parishioner of St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB. He is survived by his wife Exeline (née: LeBlanc); two daughters, RoseMarie (Leonard) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Bernice (Donald) Cote of Ottawa; three sons, Roger of Montreal, Eric (Juliette) of Dieppe and Claude (Barb) of Grand Barachois; one sister, Dora Bourgeois of College Bridge; two brothers, Alfred of Dieppe and Alyre (Sara) of Barachois; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by four sisters, Exeline, Marie, Armance and Loretta and six brothers, Emile, Leandre, Alderic, Yvon, Eugene and Laurie O'Brien. Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901 on Friday, October 18, 2002 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church on Saturday October 19, 2002 at 11 am. Interment in St. Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.   • Ambrose E.Pickard The death of Mr. Ambrose Eugene Pickard, formerly of Creighton Avenue, Saint John, husband of the late Patricia R. (Bain) Pickard, occurred on Wednesday, October 16, 2002, at Royal Court in Riverview, NB. Born in Johnville, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (McGrath) Pickard. Mr. Pickard was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the Canadian Army, and was a member of TBS #1 Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6595 and was awarded the Dollard Medal in 1993, in recognition of commitment to his church and community. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Jana) of Saskatoon and Kevin (Casandra) of Riverview; one daughter, Katherine Churchill (Tony) of White Rock, BC; two brothers, Peter Pickard and Walter Pickard, both of Johnville, NB; one sister, Christine Lavoie of Fredericton; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Frederick and sisters, Eileen, Dorita, Theresa and Kathleen. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joachim's Church, Saint John, on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
