  • RICHARD, GERALD JOSEPH Passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, NB, on May 29, 2002. He was 83. Gerald Richard of Woodstock was born on February 13, 1919 in Douglastown, NB, to the late Edmond and Cryiene (Gallant) Richard. He is survived by his wife, Alexina Richard of Woodstock, NB, six children - Raymond (Linda) of Nova Scotia, David (Janice) of Woodstock, NB, Paul (Joyce) of Woodstock, NB, John (Diane) of Woodstock, NB, Jean Domet of Oakville, ON and Kevin (Sandra) of Bedell, NB; several grand and great grandchildren; four sisters - Marie Rieux of Montreal, Denise LaClaire of Que., Lena Richard of Halifax, Rita (Weldon) Walsh of Newcastle, NB, and one brother, Abel Richard of Toronto, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, one infant daughter, Mary Theresa, predeceased him. Remains resting at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB, where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2002. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Woodstock, NB with Father Sam Diotte officiating. Interment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to one of the donor's choice.

  • RAIRDON, SUSAN VIVIAN Of Lower Woodstock passed away at her home on Thursday, May 30, 2002, at the age of 45. Susan is survived by two sons John P. Rairdon of Lower Woodstock and Adam L. Rairdon of Ottawa, Ontario; two daughters, Amanda V. Rairdon of Lower Woodstock and Victoria L. Caines of Lower Woodstock; mother, D. Pauline MacArthur of Grafton; two brothers Peter MacArthur and his wife Bev of Ottawa, Ontario and Brent MacArthur and his wife Nola of Woodstock, nieces and nephews. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. from The Scott Chapel.   • HEBERT, CHRISTOPHER KEVIN The death of Christopher Kevin Hebert of Minto, NB, occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at home. Born in Minto, NB, he was the son of Fred and Betty (Brogan) Hebert of Minto, NB. In addition to his parents Chris is survived by a sister Tracy Ryan (Ken) of Minto, NB; a nephew Michael; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Azelie and Aldric Hebert and his maternal grandparents Alma and Alec Brogan. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home, 327-3490 with visiting on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002 from the Parker Memorial Chapel of the Minto Funeral Home with Rev. D. Lutes officiating. Interment will take place in the Wallbridge Cemetery, Minto, NB.

  • MCTIERNAN, A.M. HORTENSE The death of A.M. Hortense McTiernan of Minto, NB, occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2002. Born in Campbellton, NB she was the daughter of the late Honorable Justice Arthur T. and Annie (MacInnes) LeBlanc. After graduating from UNB in 1940 Hortense moved to Minto where she began her teaching career. She married Louis McTiernan and together raised their family of nine. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, CWL and Secretary Treasurer of McTiernan Motors Ltd. Survived by her sons; Thomas (Tammy) Minto, NB, Michael (Dixie) Minto, NB, Peter (Wanetta) Bedford, NS, Mark (Terri-Ann) Fredericton, NB; her daughters; Anne-Marie (Mrs. Dennis Gaskin) Fredericton, NB, Martha (Stephen Joyce) London, Ontario, Joan (P. Charles Beaudoin) Pownal, ME, Monique (William Black) Moncton, NB, Catherine (Donald Murray) Quispamsis, NB; a sister Evangeline Tanguay, Sherbrooke, PQ; 20 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hortense was predeceased by her husband Louis McTiernan in 1991; two grandsons David Joyce and Richard (Bucky) McTiernan; a son-in-law Dennis Gaskin. Brothers Tessier LeBlanc Q.C., Murat LeBlanc, Q.C. and Dr. Wilfred LeBlanc; sisters Aline Hyland, Martha LeBlanc and Marie MacDonald. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (506-327-3490) visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2002, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with father P. Stephen officiating. Interment will take place in St. Brigit's Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. In lieu of flowers, the family is supporting the awareness of organ donation through the Kidney Foundation.

  • FORD, RUTH CHRISTINA The death of Ruth C. Ford of Toronto, ON, occurred on Monday, May 6, 2002 at the Riverdale Hospital in Toronto. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hay. She was a member of the Anglican Church. She was employed for 25 years for Round Tree. Survived by her husband Wyman, son Troy, sisters Evelyn, Carol, Heather, several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her beloved dog Notcho. Deceased by four sisters, five brothers and her first husband Ralph McCoy and one daughter Joan.

  • BONNELL, RALPH KITCHENER The death of Ralph K. Bonnell of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, May 29th, 2002. Born in Grand Falls, NB he was the son of the late Herbert and Roxie Belle (White) Bonnell and husband of the late Mary Grace (Robinson) Bonnell. Survived by his son, Allen (Sandy) of Laudon, New Hampshire; daughter, Barbara Bonnell of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Wendy and Corrine and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, parents and son, Gordon. There will be no visitation by family request. A commital service will be held in Yarmouth, Cape Cod, Mass.
