Computershare acquires EDF Electronic Data Filing, terms not released

TORONTO - Computershare Investor Services Inc. said Tuesday that it has bought Vancouver-based EDF Electronic Data Filing Inc. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

EDF Electronic Data Filing helps companies with securities filings in Canadian and United States.

EDF founder Jennifer Vincent-Jones and partner Sarah Garcia Hack will join Computershare to help manage the company's regulatory filing services.

"By leveraging the best practices and people from both businesses, our newly combined client base will benefit from an enhanced business model for filing services across the country," Computershare Canada president Wayne Newling said.

Computershare has 12,000 employees around the world providing share registration, employee equity plans, proxy solicitation and other specialized financial, governance and communication services.
