VW's vision is clear

Volkswagen of America, Inc. has been named the best-full line corporation by San Diego-based research firm Strategic Vision for the third consecutive year. Strategic Vision has also named Volkswagen's best-selling U.S. nameplate, the Jetta, as the top vehicle in its category in their annual Total Quality Index, which offers a complete measure of a customer's new-car ownership experience.

It's full steam ahead for the Rolls RR4

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the first design sketches of its next new model.

Known as RR4, the car is due to be launched in 2010 and will sit alongside the Phantom model line-up.

The RR4 will be smaller than Phantom and powered by a new engine that will be unique to Rolls-Royce.

The company's Goodwood, England, manufacturing facilities are being completely reconfigured to accommodate the RR4 with extended paint, wood and leather shops as well as a second assembly line.

The company will move to a two-shift system next year as it gears up for full production of the new model.
