MALONE, N.Y. - Investigators in northern New York are searching a sand pit for the body of a Quebec woman missing since 2004 after questioning a trucker about unrelated child pornography charges.

State police say 30-year-old Adam Morris of Malone, N.Y., was charged Thursday with promoting a sexual performance by a child.

During that investigation, police say he made statements related to the disappearance of 28-year-old Nathalie Fournier of St. Catherines, Que.

After questioning Morris, New York state police, Quebec provincial police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police searched a sand pit near Morris's home for the remains of Fournier.

She was last seen around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 14, 2004, at La Place A Lorenzo near Saint-Mathieu de La Prairie, Que., where she worked as an exotic dancer.
