Cadillac CTS-V priced against M3 and IS-F
Published Thursday November 6th, 2008

Cadillac's tossed a 550 horsepower hand grenade into the high performance sedan market.
The American luxury automaker has just announced pricing on the world's fastest production four-door- the CTS-V.
The high-performance model builds off of the award-winning CTS and dials up performance in a big way with a supercharged V8 engine.
Available with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission and a variety of options, the lightning-quick sedan is at dealerships across the country this fall, priced from $68,500.
This MSRP puts the CTS-V directly in the same pricing category as contenders like the BMW M3, Mercedes C63 AMG and award-winning Lexus ISF- though with a significant horsepower advantage.
Owners can benefit from a full complement of advanced performance technologies, including Magnetic Ride Control, paddle shifting and a new Performance Traction Management (PTM) system. PTM allows drivers to fully exploit the car's power by instantly matching its delivery against current traction availability- so enthusiastic owners can safely get on the power while the computers keep them out of the foliage.
"The 2009 CTS-V is Cadillac's ultimate expression of performance and luxury," said Marc Comeau, VP of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. "While its track numbers speak volumes, we think that the comfortable transition from sport supercar to touring luxury sedan is what really sets the CTS-V apart."
