TORONTO - Two Canadian tourists are in stable condition in hospital after they were injured in a shooting at a nightclub in the Mexican tourist destination of Cabo San Lucas.
Baja California state police investigator Omar Barajas says the gunmen fled after the shooting early Tuesday at Mermaid's Table Dance bar.
No arrests have been made.
The Mexican newspaper Tribuna de Los Cabos identifed the two victims as Donguyen Ninhtrung, 26, and Michel Brenhan Spowe, 28, both from Vancouver.
Officials with the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ottawa did not immediately respond to requests for confirmation, nor were embassy officials in Mexico available to confirm the names.
The paper says the younger of the two victims suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, while the other Canadian was struck in the chest and the leg.
A security guard at the club was also wounded.
