TSX Venture Exchange closed at 1,053.53 down 24.74 points

TORONTO - The TSX Venture Exchange settled at 1,053.53 down 24.74 points Wednesday. The volume at 5 p.m. was 181.08 million shares.

Among the most active companies, Rusoro Mining Ltd. (TSXV:RML) was up half a cent to 46 cents, Alberta Oilsands Inc. (TSXV:AOS) a penny to 29.5 cents; Noront Resources (TSXV:NOT) was down 12 cents to 65 cents, San Gold Corp. (TSXV:SGR) eight cents to $2.17.
