
CGI gets contract extension with Yellow Pages worth $100 million

MONTREAL - CGI Group Inc. (TSX:GIB.A) says a contract extension from Yellow Pages Group will generate $100 million in revenue for the IT services company over the next decade.
The extension, valid till 2019, will see CGI manage the applications and infrastructure of Yellow Pages' computer network
CGI will also handle business intelligence projects and optimize the Yellow Pages web-based tools, the Montreal-based IT services company announced Tuesday.
"We've been benefiting from CGI's excellent service and vast IT experience for several years, so we did not hesitate to renew our contract," said Yvan Proteau, chief information officer with Yellow Pages.
"CGI's Web data research system management skills will enable us to reach new heights and maintain our competitive advantage," he added.
Montreal-based CGI provides end-to-end IT services and business process services to clients worldwide.
Its shares closed at $13.03 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
