Fire in western Newfoundland destroys firefighter 'smoke house'

BAIE VERTE, N.L. - Police in western Newfoundland have been called in to investigate a fire that destroyed a house that had already seen its share of smoke.

The Saturday night fire razed a buidling in Baie Verte known as the 'smoke house.'

The wooden structure was used to train volunteer firefighters how to safely enter and leave smoke-filled buildings.
