NEW YORK - More than 100 breweries will be offering samples of their craft beers at the third annual NY Brewfest, scheduled for Sept. 12 at South Street Seaport (piers 16 and 17) from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Tickets, which cost US$50, can be purchased at http://www.nybrewfest.com or at any of Heartland Brewery's five New York City locations. The event sold out its first two years, according to the organizers.

Live music is also part of the program. The Bagpipe Dudes will play 4:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Los Blancos 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Bernie Clarke & The Rhythm Sharks, 6:45 p.m.-8:15 p.m., and Donna Jean & The Tricksters, 8:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
