BMW 3-Series getting a nip and tuck
Published Thursday December 4th, 2008

BMW's committed to make sure their 3-Series lineup remains on top of its market. In the face of increasing competition, mainly from Audi's award-winning new A4, the Bavarian best-seller will undergo a facelift for the 2009 model year. Combined with various updates, the 3-Series's styling and equipment offerings will reach new levels.
A modest visual update includes revised front and rear fascias, larger LED-illuminated tail lamp portions, and a slightly wider rear track. More aggressive and enlarged front air-dams also work towards a more potent look.
3-Series sedan and Touring (wagon) models will benefit from re-designed interior elements including chrome accenting, a larger centre console storage compartment, revised armrest, and a new iDrive system with a larger color screen and enhanced ease-of-operation.
